Week 1

- 0930-1200: introduction to computational economics (Miller/Page)
- 1200-1300: lunch
- 1300-1330: small group homework problem
- 1330-1400: computer details
- 1400-1700: work on homework
- Tuesday, 16 June
- 1000-1200: homework discussion (group presentations)
- 1200-1400: lunch, prepare individual talks
- 1400-1730: individual student talks (~10 minutes each) on current/future work
- 1900-?: continue student talks (if needed)
- Wednesday, 17 June
- 1000: homework write-ups due (in HTML)
- 1000-1200: introduction to genetic algorithms--Raja Das (LANL)
- 1200-1330: lunch
- 1330-1500: application talk--John Miller (GAs in auctions, games, and organizations)
- 1530-1700: introduction to simulated annealing--Scott Page
