Model II:

Description: This model differs from the basic model in that it limits the information available to drivers as a function of the variable radius. While drivers still know the size of the parking lot, they can only collect information about the cars and spaces within their range of vision.

Space: Linear, same as Model I

Time:  Synchronous/Asynchronous: same as Model I

Agents: Homogenous, same as Model I

Decision Structure:  See Figure 1.

Model II Parameter Sweep

The second model is represented above with a threshold of .6 to represent a moderate value. Similar graphs for parameter values of 0 to 1 show roughly similar patterns with extreme results for 0 and 1. The model responds as expected with increased radius allowing for better outcomes for drivers. Radius is less important with lower numbers of cars because cars can usually see an empty space and will continue moving forward. The effect of a low radius (between 0 and 4) has the largest relative effect for low to moderate numbers of cars.
